Who We Are
Our Mission
The Clergy Project’s Mission is to provide support, community, and hope to those current and former religious professionals who no longer hold to supernatural beliefs.
Within Our Membership ~
A sense of true community is cultivated and a network of practical support developed for TCP members through our private, safeguarded, multi-fascited Online Community. A breath of real hope is discovered as members interact with others and encounter the stories of hundreds of other former believers on similar journeys as their own. Here our Community Participants discover that above all, they are not alone.
Just one example of the opportunities available to TCP members is a grant from the Stiefel Freethought Foundation to administer a Transitional Assistance Grant. It’s in practical assistance such as this that TCP is able to provide tangible support to our members.
Extended Beyond Membership ~
Our mission is then extended to the wider TCP community by furthering this same spirit of support and hope to those closeted and unbelieving professional religious leaders who yet remain outside TCP membership and without access to our Online Community. This extension takes place through such avenues as the following:

• Partnerships with Likeminded Organizations
• Our Presence at Secular Conventions
• Our Speaking & Interview Schedule
• Narratives Shared on the TCP Website’s “Our Stories” Page
• Tools Provided on the TCP Website’s Resources Page
In all these ways, we are getting the word out on TCP and extending support, community, and hope to a whole world of unbelieving clergypersons who desperately need it.

Our Leadership
Board of Directors ~
The Clergy Project is managed by the Board of Directors. They establish the overall philosophy, policies, procedures of The Clergy Project, and ensure that the Committees implement the philosophy, policies, and procedures set by the Board.
Committees ~
There are currently 8 Committees responsible for developing and implementing strategies to accomplish our Mission, subject to the oversight of the Board of Directors.
